Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for proprietary and recognized consumer brands, is seeking a full-time seasonal Merchandiser in Rockwell, TX. Responsibilities include stocking and arranging product displays such as grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery in stores like Lowe's, Home Depot, and Walmart.

Measures of Success

• Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products
• Set and maintain shelves according to retailer planograms
• Install and maintain off-shelf display opportunities
• Weekend consumer interaction during peak season (training provided)

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Previous merchandising experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for interaction with store management and consumers
• Ability to read labels and re-tag products
• Physical ability to bend, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
• Experience with ladders, pallet jacks, and hand tools
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable transportation, proof of insurance
• Daily access to internet/email and a personal smartphone with required OS
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits
• Ability to work safely and alertly

Working Conditions

• Retail store environment, including garden centers
• Work Monday-Friday and some weekends, mainly Saturday
• Physical ability to lift and climb as described
• Travel throughout territory using personal vehicle
