Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for proprietary and recognized consumer brands, is seeking a full-time seasonal Merchandiser in Alexandria, VA. The role involves stocking and arranging product displays, including grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery, at Lowe's, Home Depot, and WalMart stores.

Measures of Success

• Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products
• Setting and maintaining shelves according to retailer planograms
• Installing and maintaining off-shelf display opportunities
• Weekend consumer interaction during peak season (training provided)

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Previous merchandising experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for interactions with store management and consumers
• Ability to read labels and re-tag products
• Ability to lift and bend with 50 lbs. regularly
• Experience with ladders, pallet jacks, and hand tools
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Access to internet/email and a personal smartphone with required OS
• Responsible, reliable, and safety-conscious

Working Conditions

• Retail environment including garden centers and stores
• Work Monday through Friday, with some weekends
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and climb ladders
• Travel within territory using personal vehicle
