Total Wine & More in Pearland, TX is seeking a friendly Cashier for a Seasonal role to provide fast service, process transactions, and answer customer questions. Team members may also serve as sales associates or merchandisers while reporting to the store management team.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, promoting the loyalty program, stocking, and staying compliant with alcohol-sale laws. The position offers PTO, discounts, health plans, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Capacity to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8-10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification and payment handling.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers and informing about products and services.
• Promote loyalty programs and assist with bagging and checkout.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all laws related to alcohol sales and a safe store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
