Job summary

MKC is seeking a front counter associate to greet customers, answer the phone, weigh and probe grain trucks, test grain, and enter information into the scale and point-of-sale systems. You will balance the cash drawer daily and monitor fuel inventory to support accurate records and timely service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Point of Sale and Point of Scale systems.
• Knowledge of seed, feed, and fuel products and store inventory.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be accurate and detail oriented.
• Computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Run the scale, probe grain trucks, test grain, and input data into the Scale system.
• Input feed and counter sales transactions into the POS system.
• Balance cash drawer and deposits daily.
• Monitor fuel inventory and order fuel as necessary.
• Greet customers at the counter and answer incoming calls professionally.
• Work with customers to resolve problems and report unresolved issues to the manager.
• File grain settlement sheets and accounting paperwork.
• Actively seek to increase knowledge and skills through training.
• Attend training sessions and complete special projects as directed.
• Support teamwork and provide excellent customer service.
