Job summary

MKC is seeking a front counter associate to welcome customers, operate the point of sale and scale systems, and manage cash and deposits. The role includes weighing grain, answering phones, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records with a focus on friendly, professional service.

The position requires knowledge of seed, feed, and fuel products, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Point of Sale and Point of Scale system knowledge required.
• Knowledge of seed, feed, and fuel products and inventory.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Accurate and detail oriented with strong data entry.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run the scale, probe grain trucks, test grain, and input data into the Point of Scale system.
• Input feed and counter sales transactions into the Point of Sale system.
• Monitor fuel inventory at card-trol locations and order fuel as necessary.
• Balance cash drawer and deposits daily.
• Wait on walk-in customers and answer incoming calls professionally and courteously.
• Work with customers to resolve problems and report unresolved issues to the manager.
• File grain settlement sheets and accounting paperwork as assigned.
• Actively pursue personal knowledge and attend training sessions.
• Complete special projects as directed by the manager.
