Job summary

Catalina Island Company is seeking a Hotel Front Desk Associate on Avalon for a seasonal role. You will be the first point of contact, handling check-ins/outs, reservations, and guest requests to ensure a seamless stay on Catalina Island.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and a service-focused mindset, with housing options and competitive hourly pay. Familiarity with hotel systems helps, and you’ll work across departments to maintain exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not required for entry-level roles.
• Strong communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems; familiarity with Opera Cloud PMS is a plus.
• California Food Handler Certificate upon hire.
• RBS Certificate upon hire.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out and manage reservations.
• Address guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Process payments and maintain accurate records.
• Provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
• Upsell rooms and additional services.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and adhere to hotel policies.
