Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Food Service Worker for Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega to prepare and serve meals, maintain clean dining areas, and assist cooks. This temporary hourly role emphasizes teamwork and reliability in food service operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve food at the dining hall; set up buffet lines and serve individual plates; interact with customers from young children to senior citizens (30%).
• Clean and sanitize the work area; operate a commercial dishwasher; clean chairs, tables, and service lines; sweep and mop floors; clean windows, baseboards, blinds; walkways and walls of food service building (30%).
• Assist cooks in preparing and cooking food; assist with preparation of menu items (30%).
• Other tasks as assigned (10%).
