Food Expeditor (Expo)

The Food Expeditor (Expo) is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of both kitchen sides. They manage ticket times, communicate between cooks and front-of-house staff, and ensure each dish is of high quality and correctly plated, with all items on the ticket going out together.

Bonus and housing may be available for this role!

Essential Functions

1. Perform a variety of entry-level restaurant tasks.
2. Ensure appearance and quality of food orders.
3. Serve food promptly and efficiently to the correct table, maintaining guest satisfaction and food quality.
4. Monitor ticket times and coordinate between cooks and runners.
5. Ensure re-fire items are executed correctly.
6. Communicate with team members regarding ticket issues.
7. Inform management or chefs of any issues.
8. Ensure re-fires are handled properly.

Physical Demands

The physical demands include effective communication, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and occasionally moving items up to 30 pounds.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail in a team environment.
• Experience in customer service or food and beverage service.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Required Certifications:

• Valid Alaska Food Handlers card.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Housing available.
