Food Expeditor (Expo)

The Food Expeditor (Expo) ensures kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include monitoring ticket times, communicating exclusively with kitchen staff, and ensuring each dish is high quality, correctly plated, and served together.

Essential Functions

1. Perform various entry-level restaurant tasks.
2. Maintain appearance and quality of food orders.
3. Serve food promptly and efficiently to guests, ensuring satisfaction and quality.
4. Coordinate with cooks and runners regarding ticket times and order assembly.
5. Monitor re-fire items for correctness.
6. Communicate issues with tickets to team members.
7. Report problems to management/chefs.
8. Ensure re-fires are handled appropriately.

Physical Demands

This role requires active physical effort, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. Occasionally, employees may need to lift products weighing up to 30 pounds. Effective communication is essential.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail within a team environment.
• Experience in customer service or food and beverage service.
• Authorization to work in the US.

Required Certifications

• Valid Alaska Food Handlers card.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
