Business Manager at West Chester Golf and Country Club

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the Food and Beverage services for the entire club (Grill Room, Ashbridge Room, Bar, Patios, Banquet Room). Hires, trains, and supervises assigned staff and is responsible for applying relevant customer service principles to ensure that the wants and needs of club members and guests are consistently exceeded.

The Food and Beverage Manager must also be the “face” of these operations with a hands-on approach and an understanding that full “on-the-floor” member and staff engagement is critical to success in this position. This position works closely with the Catering Manager, Executive Chef, and Club Manager.

Core Duties & Tasks:
  1. Manages the service of members and guests in the Club’s Dining Rooms (Grill, Bar, and Patios).
  2. Manage reservations for a la carte dining as well as all events.
  3. Ensure that excellent service and attention are being given to each member. Immediately correct deficiencies where required.
  4. Plan, implement, and maintain processes that enhance proper service and overall member satisfaction.
  5. Oversee actual service on a daily basis in all areas of the Club including Grill, Bar, Ashbridge Room.
  6. Help enhance our training program and train service team members on dining and beverage.
  7. Check’s function sheets (BEO’s) against the actual room setup; oversee personnel scheduling for special events.
  8. Oversee scheduling of F&B service employees along with input from Captains to ensure proper coverage.
  9. Obtain or delegate collection for prompt payment for all events.
  10. Attend weekly BEO meetings (Wednesdays at 3pm)
  11. Assume Closing Manager and/or other responsibilities as needed.
  12. The Club is open 6 days a week (lunches are open all 6 days, dinners are served Wednesday to Saturday night). The Club is closed on Mondays except for Holidays.

Supervises: Wait Staff, Bartenders, Bus, Host, Food Runners, and Houseman/Handyman.

Hourly Wage: $18-20 per hour. Hours: Wed to Sat 3PM to close, and Sun 10:30AM to 5:30PM.

Note: The schedule may change according to Club business.
