Alaska General Seafoods in Alaska is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to set up, test, and keep production machinery running through peak season. You will service cutters, fillers, scales, and conveyors, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with QA to ensure fill quality.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working 7 days a week during season, and enduring cold and wet conditions. Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to work overtime, and reliable teamwork are essential.

Formación

• 3+ years working with cutter, fillers or comparable equipment.
• Able to work in remote and diverse environment.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• Must be able to work 7 days a week for entirety of season.
• While performing duties, regularly exposed to wet, cold or humid conditions and loud environment.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance on Cutters, Fillers, Scale, Weigh Machines and conveyors in a safe and efficient manner.
• Keep work area organized and free of clutter.
• Set or adjust filler weights to supplied specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled and coordinate with maintenance team to minimize downtime.
• Work with QA department to ensure fill quality is met.
• Ensure machinery is ready and properly lubricated at the start of every work period.
• Maintain written log of work performed.
• Install new parts and equipment as required.
• Track inventory throughout season and submit final end-of-season parts order.
• Perform constant checks of machinery and equipment during production to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Work collaboratively with production managers and leads to maximize production.
