This is a seasonal position and is from June 2025 - September 2025. This position will require travel at an estimated 20% of the time to central Montana and Idaho during summer months.

What you will do:

• Seed cleaning, seed treatment, and set-up of experiments.


• Seeding of small plot field trials and nurseries.


• Establishing and maintaining nurseries including herbicide application, fertilizing, discing, weeding, roguing, etc.


• Operating small plot field equipment such as tractors, seeders, sprayers, and tillage tools.


• Taking accurate and precise agronomic notes (heights, lodging, disease).


• Operating a small plot combine or swather.


• Assist in fall land preparation through application of herbicides and fertilizer under direction of site personnel. Training and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.


• Equipment calibration and maintenance.


• Assisting technicians, agronomists, and plant breeders with duties as needed.


• Actively engagein safety training.


• Travel an estimated 20% of the time to central Montana and Idaho during summer months.

What you will bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.


• A valid driver's license.


• Knowledge of basic Excel functions and willingness to learn other technology tools.


• Punctual and regular attendance to assist team in completion of daily tasks.


• Able to work outdoors during summer months.


• Attention to detail and accuracy for record keeping and data entry.


• Skilled in solving problems with autonomy and in coordination with team members.


• Ability to relate effectively with others to accomplish tasks.


• An organized approach to work with follow through and completion.


• Occasional ability to lift 50 lbs.


• Familiarity withfarming and agricultural practices is preferred.


• Must meet minimum age requirements, as permitted by law.
