Job summary

PE Services is seeking a Seasonal Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services team for the active season (May to October with flexible dates). The role involves field testing, documentation, and client interaction on transportation, municipal, and infrastructure projects.

You will perform on-site sampling, record inspections, read plans, and ensure safety and engineering standards are met. This is a full-time seasonal position with PTO eligibility and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in math and science is required.
• Knowledge of construction safety principles is essential.
• Familiarity with surveying and mapping techniques is preferred.
• Excellent listening, speaking, and writing abilities are needed.
• Ability to think critically, troubleshoot operations, and provide feedback.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site sampling and testing of soil, aggregate, and concrete.
• Complete detailed inspection and test records for documentation.
• Measure field tasks and report results for records and payments.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Enter test data into project database and generate client reports.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment regularly.
• Communicate with lead inspector, contractor, and stakeholders to ensure quality.
• Engage with project team and act as a Client Representative.
• Maintain relationships with current and past project staff.
