Job summary

Shelburne Farms is seeking a Cashier at the Farm Cart to serve lunch and snacks to visitors, in partnership with a Line Cook. You will help deliver meals, manage orders, and maintain a welcoming, clean space inside and around the cart.

The role emphasizes engaging with diverse guests, supporting a sustainable food system, and upholding equity values while working a schedule that includes weekends and seasonal hours.

Responsibilities

• Engage with visitors, enter orders via POS, deliver meals, and assist the Farm Cart Cook.
• Keep the cart and public eating areas clean and organized, including the indoor pipe room.
• Set up and break down the Farm Cart before opening.
• Take daily inventory and restock supplies.
• Remove rubbish from cart and eating areas throughout the day.
