Job summary

City-of-Edin seeks a Facility Supervisor for Centennial Lakes Park to deliver customer service and lead seasonal operations. The role focuses on coordinating events, winter operations at the skating rink, building rentals, and maintaining park facilities.

This is a short-term, <6 months position with evenings and weekends required. On-site supervision for staff, safety walkthroughs, event setup, and POS operations are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of customer service, facility or event management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site contact for staff and patrons in the absence of full-time staff.
• Provide supervision of winter operations, scheduled events, building rentals and performances.
• Set up tables, chairs and equipment for events; assist patrons, subcontractors and performers with setup needs.
• Monitor events and rentals; ensure compliance with park rules.
• Ensure buildings and grounds are safe for daily functions via regular walk-throughs.
• Remain visible and engaged with staff and customers; provide on-site support to part-time staff.
• Complete accident and incident reports and communicate to management.
• Perform light custodial duties including cleaning floors, windows and trash.
• Assist with snow removal when appropriate; operate a shovel and walk-behind snow blower.
• Operate and troubleshoot point-of-sale as needed.
