Job summary

Hyatt Regency Portland Convention Center seeks a dynamic Seasonal F&B Manager to support our banquet and events teams. You will assist in planning, setup, service, and post-event reporting, ensuring client satisfaction and seamless operation.

This role requires hands-on leadership, strong verbal communication, and the ability to work weekends and evenings in a fast-paced hotel environment. You’ll collaborate with clients, planners, and departments while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Desire to satisfy guests in a fast-paced hotel setting.
• Refined verbal communication and guest service skills.
• Minimum 2 years banquet leadership experience preferred.
• Experience working in a union environment preferred.
• Work on some weekends and nights required.
• Stamina to stand long periods and lift up to ~50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including holidays and variable shifts.
• Basic computer skills for POS and event reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and organizing events, including setup and breakdown.
• Ensure event details align with client specifications and expectations.
• Work with clients, event planners, and hotel departments.
• Address client or guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Oversee banquet setup (tables, chairs, linens, décor).
• Ensure catering stations and event needs are properly staffed.
• Help maintain inventory for banquet supplies.
• Prepare post-event reports on attendants, revenue, and issues.
• Verify billing and payments in POS and Evention; ensure compliance with safety rules.

Summary

WE ARE LOOKING FOR a Seasonal F&B Manager

The Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Seasonal F&B Manager to join our team. The Seasonal F&B Manager will be responsible for assisting the F&B outlets and events at the hotel.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assisting in planning and organizing events, including setting up, managing, and breaking down banquet spaces.
• Ensure all event details are aligned with client specifications and expectations.
• Working closely with clients, event planners, and other departments within the hotel.
• Address and resolve client or guest related complaints promptly and professionally.
• Oversee the setup of tables, chairs, linens, and décor according to event requirements.
• Ensure the proper setup of catering stations and any other event-specific needs.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels for banquet supplies.
• Prepare post-event reports, including attendant, revenue, and any operational challenges.
• Ensure all billing and payment processes are completed accurately in the POS and Evention.
• Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations, including food safety, emergency procedures, and workplace safety.
