Oaklawn Jockey Club is seeking a Seasonal EVS Supervisor to oversee the Racing EVS Attendants on shifts, ensuring the cleanliness of public areas meets Oaklawn standards and Core Values. The role requires supervising and developing EVS staff, maintaining safety protocols, and coordinating with other departments to deliver excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate EVS attendants on shifts to maintain Oaklawn standards.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety and sanitation of casino and public areas.
• Conduct daily tours to verify work is completed per standards.
• Maintain shift logs and communicate irregularities for operations.
• Enforce safety protocols and proper use of equipment.
• Hire, train and develop EVS staff and schedule work areas.

Under general supervision, the Seasonal EVS Supervisor oversees and coordinates the Racing EVS Attendants on their shifts to ensure the cleanliness of public areas meet Oaklawn standards and Core Values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains the cleanliness, safety and sanitation of the Casino and public areas.
• Conducts daily tours of all areas to ensure that EVS attendants are completing work as assigned and meeting OJC standards and Core Values.
• Maintains shift log or report, communicating any irregularities necessary for successful operations of other shifts.
• Knows safe work habits and ensures that team is following safety protocols.
• Responds to cleaning or grounds keeping requests from other departments.
• Identifies and communicates cleaning supplies and equipment needs to EVS Manager.
• Assures prompt, courteous service to all guests, internal and external.
• Hires, trains and develops EVS attendants, schedules work areas and follows up.
• Provides leadership and assistance to EVS Team.
• Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating internal and external guests with courtesy and consideration at all times.
• Cooperates and communicates with all fellow team members, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.
• Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
• Performs all duties in accordance with company core values, internal policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations.
• Makes efforts to keep informed of company information and communications by reviewing property bulletin boards, digital signage, and company newsletter.
• Effectively communicates concerns and information to supervisor and listens to communication from supervisor.
• Effectively relates ideas for improvements to supervisor and management in accordance with chain of command.
• Observes and reports any and all unsafe behavior displayed by internal and external guests.
• Maintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School grad or GED preferred but not required
• 1+ years professional housekeeping
• Previous supervisory experience
• 1+ years

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
• Provides coaching and counseling to team members.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
