Ted Turner Reserves is seeking a Seasonal Wrangler for Vermejo in 2027. The role focuses on leading guided horseback rides, caring for horses, and maintaining safe barn operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The position requires horsemanship, strong communication, and the ability to work in a remote mountain environment with provided housing near Vermejo headquarters, about 40 miles from Raton, NM.

Formación

• Experience as a Wrangler or similar equestrian role with horsemanship knowledge.
• Ability to safely handle, ride, and work with horses of varying temperaments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to guide guests and deliver service.
• Knowledge of tack maintenance, barn operations, and equestrian safety procedures.
• Must have valid driver’s license or able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead guided horseback rides and share Vermejo landscape and history with guests.
• Assist with daily barn operations: gather horses, prepare equipment, coordinate riding activities.
• Exercise and condition horses for guest activities and maintain their health.
• Feed, water, groom, and monitor horse health at various locations.
• Maintain clean, safe barns, corrals, stalls, and equipment; perform basic tack repairs.
