Job summary

County of San Benito Elections Department is seeking an entry to seasonal elections support position to assist with polling place operations, voter education, and ballot processing. You will perform clerical and data entry tasks under supervision, learn department policies, and support election events with the public.

The role involves assisting in scheduling, materials handling, and providing information to voters and staff during peak election periods.

Qualifications

• Two years of responsible clerical, office, and general administrative support work experience.
• One year of general work experience and an Associate's degree; or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting poll locations, training classes, and voting centers.
• Assist with voter education and outreach events.
• Prepare and distribute supplies for polling places and events.
• Process voted ballots and perform related data entry and verification tasks.
• Handle voter registration forms and election documents for data entry.
• Answer inquiries from the public in person, in writing, and by telephone.
• Other duties as assigned.
