Job summary

City and County of San Francisco Department of Elections is seeking Seasonal District Support Team members for the November 3, 2026 General Election. Responsibilities include driving a City vehicle between polling places, setting up accessibility features, delivering and retrieving equipment, and assisting with ballot processing and canvass activities.

Positions are temporary exempt with mandatory paid training starting October 23, 2026.

Qualifications

• Six months of clerical experience including records, filing, mail processing.
• Substitution options include college coursework or clerical training programs.
• Valid California driver license and clean DMV record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a City vehicle to travel between polling places.
• Deliver and retrieve polling place equipment and materials.
• Visit polling places to review setups and ensure accessibility compliance.
• Install accessibility features per procedures.
• Document tasks and communicate with the Department using a smartphone.
• Assist with post-election ballot processing and canvass activities.
• Maintain routine records and logs of activities.
• Perform other basic clerical and election-related tasks as needed.
