Job summary

The Navy Exchange Service Command in Silverdale, WA is seeking a Seasonal Early Morning Warehouse Sales Associate to join our team. You will engage customers, guide them to merchandise, and participate in promotions while delivering friendly, premier service to our military patrons and families.

Flexibility is key: early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays may be required. Prior retail experience is welcome but not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Previous Retail Experience preferred but not required.
• Must have military base access or be a U.S. citizen.

So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?

• Proactively engages, connects and listens to customers by asking questions to determine customers’ needs.
• Directing customers to merchandise; informing them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card promotions all while providing premier customer service.
• Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Using a Point-of-Sales system, processing cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards (cash handling) including counting money and returning accurate amounts to customer.

• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
