Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command in Silverdale, WA is seeking a personable Cashier to join our team serving our military community. You will greet customers, answer questions, and process sales with accuracy and friendly service.

This part-time role offers a dynamic on-base work environment, with opportunities to assist service members and their families, and requires a pre-employment background check.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engages, connects and listens to customers by asking questions to determine customers’ needs.
• Directing customers to merchandise; informing them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card promotions all while providing premier customer service.
• Maintains store appearance.
• Using a Point-of-Sales system, processing cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards (cash handling) including counting money and returning accurate amounts to customer.
