Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Drum Line Instructor for the high school instrumental music program. This part-time seasonal position offers a stipend of $1,800 and involves coordinating rehearsals, performances, and engaging with students to foster musical growth.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in marching band, specifically in percussion, and should be able to inspire and instruct students in drumline and music fundamentals. Candidates must have a High School diploma, with a Bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong background in marching band or the marching arts with percussion as a specialty.
• Ability to inspire students and build enthusiasm.
• Experience with subgroups of percussion (Snare, Bass, Tenors, Mallets).

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate off-season activities.
• Establish performance requirements and verify eligibility.
• Maintain inventory of percussion supplies.
