Lakeside Book Company is hiring for a Seasonal Dock Worker on the 1st shift at our Plainfield, IN facility. The role involves safe, accurate picking, packing, labeling, and shipping of book items. Training and overtime are part of the position.

The job offers on-demand pay, potential for full-time through the Lakeside Temp-to-Hire Program, and a 7:00am–3:00pm schedule with possible Saturday overtime. Benefits include PTO and healthcare options.

Qualifications

• 4 months previous distribution facility experience.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50lbs.
• Proven ability to be successful in a fast paced, seasonal environment.

• Operate within the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems to pick items.
• Maintain accuracy by verifying book titles, quantities, and item conditions.
• Label, scan, and sort boxes for shipping.
• Follow all safety guidelines – safety shoes required.

Seasonal Dock Worker | $17.00/hr | 1st Shift

What You'll Get:

• $17.00/hr
• On Demand Pay
• Overtime Required
• Path to full-time employment with our Lakeside Temp-to-Hire Program

Shift: 1st (7:00am-3:00pm), Monday-Friday - overtime required including Saturday

Location: 700 Airtech Parkway, Plainfield, IN 46168

Path to Permanent Employment: New hires participate in a 90-day evaluation period designed to support training and successful integration into the team.
