Job summary

Brunswick's Freedom Boat Club in Mystic, CT is seeking friendly dock staff for a temporary/seasonal role through October/November. You’ll greet members, manage check-in/out on a tablet, perform equipment checks, and assist with reservations and weather reports.

Availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays is required. The role offers outdoor work by the water, with diverse vessels and a chance to gain marina experience.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (bend, kneel, carry up to 25 lbs).
• Read and operate handheld tablets.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and acknowledge them per standards.
• Anticipate and address service needs of guests.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Answer calls with proper etiquette.
• Assist with check-in/out using handheld tablet.
• Perform equipment checks and ensure vessels are ready.
• Maintain vessels and marina location per standards.
• Prepare reservation logs, fuel records and weather reports.
• Familiarize yourself with local waters to offer basic guidance.
• Maintain professional language and appearance.
