Job summary

UPS is hiring for a Seasonal Dispatch Associate in California. The role assists with dispatch planning, monitors driver hours, load and trailer planning, and ensures service, safety, and cost goals are met in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will coordinate with teams to implement plans, track equipment, and support yard operations, including staffing and trailer inventory. Strong communication and ability to lift up to 70 lbs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg).
• Management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conducts hazardous materials audits.
• Reviews safety reports and ensures proper uniforms and safe work methods.
• Determines training needs and supports development plans.
• Performs performance evaluations and addresses issues.
• Oversees yard operations and trailer inventory alignment.
