Job summary

United Parcel Service, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Dispatch Coordinator in California to assist and review Small Package dispatch activities, ensuring timely service, safety, and cost goals.

You will help with dispatch planning, staffing, and equipment levels, overseeing yard operations and load planning for efficient transportation. The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, flexible shifts (up to 6 days a week), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 6 days per week.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Management experience - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conducts hazardous materials audits.
• Reviews safety reports.
• Verifies appropriate driver uniforms and utilization of safe work methods.
• Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
• Provides feedback and support.
• Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
• Able to work outside in varied weather conditions.
• Able to work weekends, flexible with time.
