Camp Sabra is seeking a Seasonal Assistant Director to lead the Community Care Team from January through August. The role focuses on developing a comprehensive MESH curriculum for staff orientation and delivering programs that support campers’ mental, emotional, and social health during the summer.

You will implement standardized assessment tools, recruit campers, and collaborate with full-time staff to ensure high-quality care.

Formación

• BA/BS required in a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Education.
• 3–5 years camping industry experience preferred.
• Ability to travel occasionally and reside at camp during summer.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and HIPAA awareness.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement a comprehensive MESH curriculum for staff orientation and training.
• Create programs to support campers' mental, emotional, and social health (MESH).
• Assess risk using Nabita rubric to standardize decision-making and reduce bias.
• Recruit new campers and present to families/board for MESH initiatives.
• Plan parent presentations detailing Camp Sabra’s commitment to campers’ wellbeing and supports.
• Meet daily with the Community Care Team to review camper situations and progress against assessments.
• Collaborate with health center and foodservice leaders on camper needs.
• Lead day-to-day responsibilities of the CCT, coaching staff and building high-performing teams.
• Travel as needed and foster an internal culture that encourages creativity and opportunity.
