Job summary

Camp Sabra, Rocky Mount, MO, seeks a Seasonal Assistant Director to lead staff training and camper wellbeing during the summer program. The role requires coordination with full-time staff and the health center, plus travel for recruitment and engagement with families.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field is required.
• Master's in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Education degree preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years working in the camping industry preferred.
• Ability to travel occasionally throughout the year and reside at camp during the summer season.
• Ability to follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision.
• Must be able to travel occasionally and engage with families and campers.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a comprehensive MESH curriculum for staff orientation and training.
• Create and implement programs during the summer to support the MESH needs of the community.
• Implement standardized methods and assessment tools to assess risk levels and standardize decision-making.
• Assist recruitment of new Sabra campers in collaboration with staff, including travel.
• Plan and execute recruitment/MESH presentations to campers, families, and stakeholders.
• Develop a presentation for parents detailing Camp Sabra's commitment to camper wellbeing.
• Meet daily with the CCT to review campers and measure against assessments.
• Collaborate with health center regarding camper medical needs.
• Lead day-to-day responsibilities during camp to enable coaching and high performance.
