Job summary

The City of Denison is seeking a part-time skating attendant for Denison on Ice. The role focuses on friendly customer service, basic cash handling, and enforcing rink rules to ensure a positive experience for all visitors.

Responsibilities include assisting with setup, issuing skates, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe environment during events and regular shifts.

Qualifications

  • Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma/GED.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

  • Accurately inventories supplies at open and close.
  • Accurately processes payments and tenders change as needed. Ensures that all payments are well accounted for and stored properly.
  • Ensures all visitors fill out liability waivers.
  • Issue skates to participants and clean and organizes the skates upon return.
  • Assist in the enforcement of skating rules and procedures.
  • Informs supervisor of needed supplies or repairs.
  • Performs duties in a safe manner and in compliance with policies, procedures, work and safety rules and the employee handbook.
  • Restocks, cleans equipment, sanitizes equipment, removes trash, and sweeps throughout the shift.
  • Works special events as needed.
  • Accurately records time worked.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 4. Ability to understand & follow simple oral and/or written instructions.
  • 5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff.
  • 6. Ability to follow directions.
  • 7. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma/GED
  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older
