Job summary

The position runs 11/15/2026–3/20/2027 (18 weeks), 37.5 hrs/week, with potential hybrid work. Candidates may assist in field tasks and draft communications and grant applications as part of the team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of civil and environmental engineering.
• Ability to write concisely and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to deal tactfully with others.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or technical discipline preferred.
• Massachusetts Class D Driver’s License may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Scan and upload records to the Office of Dam Safety Compliance System.
• Filing and organizing records at 180 Beaman Street, West Boylston.
• Process incoming/outgoing mail and deliver to USPS.
• Assist with records requests and drafting communications.
• Develop inflow hydrographs and dam-break models for hazard dams.
• Draft meeting minutes and assist in field reports.
• Review contract documents and construction plans.
• Assist in grant applications and reporting requirements.
• Engage in field work with Dam Safety Engineers as needed.
