Commonwealth of Massachusetts seeks a Seasonal Engineering Aide II for the Office of Dam Safety in West Boylston. The position runs 11/15/2026–3/20/2027 (18 weeks) at 37.5 hours per week with supervision from ODS Dam Safety Engineers.

Responsibilities include records management, drafting notices, data entry into the compliance system, and assisting in model development and grant applications. Field presence with engineers is possible when safe.

Competenze

• At least 1 year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, civil or sanitary engineering experience.
• Substitutions: a related associate degree may substitute for some experience.
• Massachusetts Class D driver's license required.
• First consideration for applicants within the first 14 days.

Mansioni

• Scan, name, and upload files to the Office of Dam Safety Compliance System.
• Review and reorganize electronic and hard copy records at 180 Beaman Street.
• Process incoming/outgoing mail and assist with mailings and field visits.
• Assist with dam data updates and drafting communications using templates.
• Complete data entry and workflows for regulatory requirements (dam stats, inspections, permits).
• Assist in developing inundation models and related analysis with engineers.
