Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Associate for the DC-SILVER SPRING, MD location.

You will help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions, while ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience with proper cash handling. In addition, you will educate customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, participate in omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS), and assist with truck unloading, stocking, and merchandising recovery to maintain an in-stock store.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs).
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and the go-back process and store recovery to ensure in-stock merchandise.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; maintain compliance.
• Interact positively; be a role model for Team Members; cross trained in Custom Framing selling/production.
