Backcountry Outlet in Ogden, UT is seeking a Seasonal Custom Boot Fitter to deliver high‑level boot fitting services. You will work hands‑on with customers to assess fit issues, perform custom modifications, and ensure boots maximize comfort, control, and performance on snow.

This role combines technical boot work with genuine customer care. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of boot fitting experience, knowledge of boot systems and tools, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of ski/snowboard boot fitting experience
• Advanced knowledge of custom boot systems and fitting tools
• Familiarity with major boot brands and fit technologies (BOA, GripWalk, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed boot fit assessments including stance analysis and shell checks
• Execute full custom boot work: insoles, liners, and footbeds
• Shell stretching, punching, grinding, and foam injection or vacuum molding
• Diagnose and resolve fit issues with professionalism and clear communication
• Provide honest recommendations for boots or modifications
• Maintain organized boot fitting workspace and stay current on boot tech
