Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to inspire customers through every step of their culinary journey. You will support daily operations, deliver a best-in-class customer experience, and help drive sales with product knowledge.

Key duties include engaging customers, staying current on products, processing transactions, and contributing to store performance. Minimum 1 year retail experience is preferred; hourly pay ranges from $18.47 to $19.65.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Maintains expertise by staying current on products, actively engaging in available training, and independently seeking out additional resources.
• Actively engage customers, identify their needs, recommend relevant products or experiences, and leading a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture.
• Maximize selling opportunities by identifying customer needs and offering relevant solutions; promote add-on sales and support events that grow store traffic.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals, contributing to overall store revenue and KPIs such as transaction value and conversion rates.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, inclusive, high-performing store culture; support onboarding of new associates.
• Accurately and efficiently process transactions using the POS system; assist in opening/closing, replenishment, and merchandising standards.
