The Lodge at Schroon Lake is seeking a cook to safely prepare menu items in line with established recipes, portion sizes, and health standards. You will work with the culinary team to deliver high-quality dishes that guests love.

With 2+ years of kitchen experience and Serve-Safe certification, you will help manage inventory, maintain cleanliness, and support us in delivering friendly, efficient service. This is a team-driven role focused on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional kitchen
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Serve-Safe Certification and Allergy Awareness Training preferred
• Culinary Arts education preferred

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards
• Follow proper cooking techniques including grilling, frying, roasting, baking, and sautéing
• Monitor food temperatures, cooking times, and ingredient quantities to prevent waste
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menu items, specials, and promotions
• Experiment with new ingredients and techniques to create innovative dishes
• Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen environment and storage areas
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to coordinate food prep and service priorities
• Support colleagues with dishwashing, plating, and garnishing
