Job summary

The Salvation Army in Arlington, VA is seeking a Seasonal Support Worker to assist with Angel Tree and other seasonal programs. You will schedule appointments, interview community members for eligibility, and perform accurate data entry as part of our community outreach efforts.

Under supervision, you will assist with sorting and distributing donations, prepare administrative reports, and may drive to support seasonal programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years general office and/or data entry experience in a customer service setting.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones in a courteous manner and assists clients by providing accurate and complete information.
• Schedules appointments for clients in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Greets and communicates with Angel Tree sponsorship participants based on program guidelines.
• Screens Angel Tree applications to determine eligibility for program participation.
