Job summary

The Dallas Mavericks are seeking a seasonal, part-time Assistant for the Community Impact team to support nonprofit partnerships, ticket donations, and in-game activations.

Ideal candidates have nonprofit experience, strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to work approximately 29 hours per week, including some nights and weekends within 75 miles of American Airlines Center.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; Teams preferred.
• Experience with nonprofits/community engagement/events across development, planning and execution.
• Familiarity with the Dallas Mavericks and NBA.
• Understanding of community-based organizations and nonprofit structures.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced team.
• Customer-first attitude when engaging with fans.
• Willingness to work approximately 29 hours per week (3–4 days) including nights/weekends; travel within 75 miles of American Airlines Center.

Responsibilities

• Assist with community programs and projects driving brand awareness and impact.
• Perform daily office duties for Senior Manager of Community Impact, including external correspondence, Excel reports, and donation requests.
• Support Community Impact initiatives, nonprofit partnerships, fundraisers, and external events.
• Manage ticket donations and nonprofit group support for the Community Ticket Program.
• Assist with partner stewardship and fan engagement.
• Support in-game activations and group logistics at Mavericks home games.
