Job summary

The Dallas Mavericks are seeking a part-time seasonal assistant to support the Community Impact department, including Mavs Foundation initiatives and the Community Ticket Program. The role begins October 2026 and runs through the 2026-2027 season, with nights and weekends as needed and travel within 75 miles of American Airlines Center.

Ideal candidates have nonprofit or community engagement experience, strong MS Office skills, and a passion for sports philanthropy.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must.
• Experience working with nonprofits/community engagement/events through various processes including development, planning and execution.
• Working knowledge of the Dallas Mavericks and NBA.
• Working knowledge of community-based organizations and nonprofit organization structure.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize within in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to communicate and engage with fans with a customer first attitude.
• Must be highly motivated, goal oriented, and a self-starter.
• Availability to work approximately 29 hours per week (3-4 day/wk.), including nights and weekends; travel within 75 miles of American Airlines Center

Responsibilities

• Assist with a wide variety of community programs and projects that drive brand awareness and community impact.
• Perform daily office duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Community Impact including external correspondence with community partners, assistance with Excel reports and compiling data, and executing donation requests.
• Assist with Community Impact initiatives including community programs, nonprofit partnership engagements, fundraisers, and external events.
• Management of ticket donations and nonprofit group support for the Community Ticket Program.
• Support partner stewardship through follow-up communications, thank-you correspondence, and documentation.
• Support Dallas Mavericks home games assisting with in-game activations, group organization and management.
