Job summary

Better Community Living Inc is seeking creative and fun individuals to assist young adults with I/DD and/or ASD to develop community skills and participate fully in their community as valued members.

Candidates would assist these young adults in identifying areas of interest and then providing opportunities around these interests. The role includes individualized guidance, support, and coordinating potential community outings.

Qualifications

• Assist young adults with I/DD and/or ASD to develop community skills.
• Provide individualized guidance, support and problem solving assistance.
• Coordinate enrichment groups such as cooking, photography, music and arts.
• Respond to ethnic, cultural and linguistic needs of participants.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accessing and coordinating community outings.
• Promote self determination values and self directed options.
• Enhance the capacity of communities to value and support people with disabilities and their families.
• Complete agency required training and perform other duties as assigned.
