Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems in West Chicago, IL is hiring a Seasonal Clean Sweep Driver to operate a street sweeper and service routes with safety and professionalism. You will represent the company on the road and work in varying weather conditions.

Applicants must have a valid Class B CDL and a current DOT medical card, with ability to pass pre-employment testing. Expect long hours, lifting up to 10 pounds, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job such as prolonged physical exertions.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate the truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Clean streets, gutters, and other assigned areas (parking lots, construction sites, etc.).
• Complete assigned routes.
• Communicate with dispatch as route changes or issues arise.
• Maintain and update route sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain and update drivers log sheets.
• Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
• Keep truck clean and operating properly within driver’s ability.
• Other duties as assigned.
