GovFirst in Front Royal, VA seeks a Seasonal Snowplow Operator – CDL Driver (On-Call) to support winter maintenance operations. The role requires driving snowplow trucks, applying de-icing materials, and performing pre/post-trip inspections in cold weather.

On-call, seasonal work with day and night shifts. Must be able to respond quickly to winter storms and work outdoors in challenging conditions while maintaining safety and clear roadways.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL, Class A or B.
• Experience operating snowplow trucks or similar heavy vehicles is preferred.
• Ability to respond to winter storms on short notice.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme winter conditions.
• Strong commitment to safe vehicle and equipment operation.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a winter ops team.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks and winter maintenance equipment to remove snow and apply de-icing materials.
• Perform safe and efficient plowing during heavy snow, ice, and mixed precipitation.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain communication with supervisors about routes and weather conditions.
• Respond on-call during and after snow events, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Support roadway snow removal and de-icing to keep roadways safe.
• Follow safety standards, traffic control procedures, and operational requirements.
• Operate vehicles safely in cold, icy, and extreme weather conditions.
• Perform other winter maintenance duties as assigned.
