Job summary

Prince George’s County Government seeks seasonal staff for the Snow and Ice Season. Work hours vary; overtime may be required. Operate light equipment and motor vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and support road construction and maintenance tasks.

CDL‑A/B (restricted or unrestricted) and a DOT card are required at all times. No county benefits are provided for this position. The role is based in Forestville, Glendale or Brandywine facilities, with essential‑employee status during

Qualifications

• Completion of a standard grade school course.
• One year experience operating light power equipment.
• Valid Class A/B CDL with endorsements is required.
• DOT medical exam is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate light equipment such as street sweeper, bucket truck, chipper and dump truck.
• Transport personnel and materials to and from job sites; assist loading/unloading.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Assist with safety setup, traffic control, and site cleanup.
• Maintain records and complete daily work logs and reports.
