Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Seasonal Campus Store Team Member to deliver an outstanding shopping experience on campus. You will greet customers, help them find materials and products, and process transactions at the register in a fast-paced store environment.

This seasonal position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and excellent service while supporting daily store operations, inventory tasks, and product knowledge development across merchandise and materials.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, convenience items, and other merchandise that best meets their needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately process transactions, including cash, credit, and financial aid purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising, replenishment, recovery, and housekeeping.
• Support daily store operations by assisting with inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other operational tasks to keep the store customer-ready.
• Develop product knowledge by staying informed about merchandise, promotions, store services, and course materials to confidently assist customers.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to accomplish daily priorities while adapting to changing business needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store environment that reflects the Barnes & Noble College brand and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
