Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Store Team Member (Seasonal) to deliver exceptional customer service and support daily store operations. You’ll help customers locate materials, process transactions at the POS, and keep the sales floor organized and inviting.

This role emphasizes teamwork, product knowledge, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak academic periods in a university campus store.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, and more.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Support inventory, receiving merchandise, and order fulfillment.
• Develop product knowledge to confidently assist customers.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store reflecting the brand.
