Barnes & Noble College is seeking a temporary Campus Store Team Member to support daily operations during peak periods. You will deliver friendly, knowledgeable service, keep the store organized, and assist customers with course materials and school supplies.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer focus, and adapting to a fast-paced retail setting on campus, with varied weekly hours and up to 90 days of assignment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age; previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and teammates.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately process transactions, including cash, credit, and financial aid purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising, replenishment, and housekeeping.
• Support daily store operations by assisting with inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other tasks.
• Develop product knowledge to confidently assist customers with merchandise, promotions, and store services.
