Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is hiring a Seasonal Campus Store Team Member to deliver exceptional customer service and help students, faculty, and alumni with materials, apparel, and gifts. You will assist with inventory, stocking, and checkout while maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

Expect flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends as seasonal work, with hourly pay and benefits like employee discounts and access to daily wage options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and teammates.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Help customers locate materials, supplies, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Operate the POS system to process cash, credit, and financial aid transactions.
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and stocked through merchandising and housekeeping.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, and order fulfillment to maintain customer readiness.
• Develop product knowledge and stay informed about merchandise and store services.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming store environment aligned with Barnes & Noble College brand.
