Job description

This is a seasonal position - start date 5/5/25, end date 8/15/25.

The Food Service Supervisor directs the overall food-service operation of the camp including purchasing, preparation, nutrition, service, sanitation, personnel management, customer service, and record keeping.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the camp food and dining service including coordinating activities between the kitchen and dining room.
• Oversee the planning and preparation of nutritionally balanced camp meals.
• Manage all administrative functions with regards to cooks and dietary aids including employee performance and training, interviewing, scheduling, processing time off, etc.
• Able to cook food for large groups, using a variety of methods (roasting, grilling, frying, etc.) and for individuals with special dietary needs (i.e. allergies, gluten free, diabetics, puree, etc.).
• Work in collaboration with other staff to make it a rewarding, safe, and positive camp experience for everyone.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that is acceptable and meets requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier and CMH contracts.
• Past professional, educational, and/or volunteerism experience with youth or individuals with disabilities preferred.
