Job summary

Galileo Learning is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead our K–8th grade summer camps. You will open and operate a Camp Galileo location, manage a seasonal team, and ensure safe, engaging experiences for campers and families in the community.

You will oversee program quality, customer care, and staff performance, while upholding Galileo’s mission and values. This is a seasonal, on-site leadership role with flexible prep periods and compensation details described in the posting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students in education-related settings.
• Experience supervising or managing adult staff.
• Ability to create safe, inclusive environments for children.

Responsibilities

• Own camp launch from preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Oversee daily operations, parent communication, and program excellence.
• Train and mentor staff, set expectations, and provide ongoing feedback.
• Manage scheduling, payroll, and performance management.
• Lead with Galileo Innovation Approach to encourage curiosity and problem-solving.
