Job summary

The Salvation Army King’s Lake Camp in Wasilla, AK seeks a Seasonal Summer Camp Cook Assistant to support the Lead Cook during sessions. You will help provide nutritious meals for groups of 75+ and keep the dining area organized and pleasant for campers and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass all background checks required by The Salvation Army.
• Prior work experience as a cook for large groups is preferred.
• Current State of Alaska Food Workers Card or ability to obtain before camp start.
• Must perform duties efficiently and demonstrate good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and serves nutritious meals for groups of 75 or more.
• Provides timely meals in accordance with set schedules.
• Ensures meals are prepared and served safely and presentably.
• Cleans kitchen facilities and equipment per sanitizing practices.
• Maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food.
